Summer of Saving: Shop Your Closet Part 2

There is no doubt COVID-19 has changed the way we live and has also majorly impacted the economy. So many people have lost jobs, others have taken pay cuts, lost hours, been furloughed, laid off, etc. With that in mind, I am re-introducing a challenge I did in Q1 of last year.

Between now and August, I will not be spending ANY money on clothing, shoes or accessories. I am vowing to “shop my closet” and rock all the wonderful clothing I already own.

When I did this challenge last time, it was so satisfying to save money, but also to be creative with my outfits. It was incredible the items I had forgotten about and those with tags still on. Sometimes we get so caught up in buying the next outfit, we forget to enjoy the clothing we already have on hand.

To kick this off, I took a $17 Target neutral ribbed maxi and styled it FIVE ways. You can definitely make your clothes work harder for you with a little creativity!

1. Maxi + Sandals + Headband

2. Work Look: Blazer + Pumps

3. Baseball Cap + Denim Jacket + Sneakers

4. Date Night: Heels + Chunky Necklace

5. Maxi Skirt: Crop Tied Top

You can shop all these looks here: http://liketk.it/2OMN7

I would love to see how you shop your own closet, so if you do tag me and use #SummerOfSaving and I’ll share your creations on my insta stories!

XO,

Ivette
